I can't agree with you more.

Web 2.0 is the way to go and I believe very soon, maybe in year 2008, it will be evolved into Web 3.0 which is much more interactive.

Internet is a must to all offline business owners, and internet has provided an easy entry point for aspired entrepreneurs, especially doing business online.

Broadband is still not very popular in many countries in Asia but it should be ready in 2 years time, when it happens, it will be a phenomenon.
