We are writing to inform you that effective October 1, 2004, RezOvation will no longer sell Guest Tracker (GT) products, nor will we renew support contracts for existing Guest Tracker installations. We have supported and enhanced Guest Tracker since we acquired it nearly two years ago and it has been an important part of the RezOvation software product family. Nevertheless, in a continued effort to focus on our core products and how they can best serve our customers, we have made the difficult decision to phase out the Guest Tracker products. It has always been our goal to provide our customers with the best products and services available, and to this end, we must discontinue this product line and its dated technology.
Please give us a few moments of your time so that we can outline some options that will minimize the difficulties of this transition and enable you to continue to operate your property with a maximum of efficiency and a minimum of disruption.
What are my choices?
You can either continue to use Guest Tracker (details below), or you can take advantage of our special offers and upgrade to our premier property management software RezOvation Desktop. For more information about your choices, please visit our FAQ.
How do I upgrade to RezOvation Desktop?
We’ve made it easier than ever to migrate to our state-of-the-art platform, RezOvation Desktop. Guest Tracker users may upgrade for the special price of $349* (regular retail, $699) through December 31, 2004. Most Guest Tracker data can be transferred into RezOvation Desktop by using our free Conversion Wizard program. All current Guest Tracker support contracts will be transferred to RezOvation products if you purchase RezOvation Desktop by December 31, 2004. (Upgrade by October 31, 2004, and you get a full year of free upgrades, a $129 value.).

Why should I upgrade from Guest Tracker to RezOvation Desktop?
Most existing Guest Tracker data can be transferred into RezOvation Desktop, and support contracts will be transferred from Guest
Tracker to RezOvation.
RezOvation Desktop offers a number of cutting edge features that are not available in Guest Tracker. Future releases of RezOvation Desktop will incorporate even more of your favorite Guest Tracker features, in addition to other software enhancements.
Because RezOvation is written in a newer programming language, we can keep RezOvation compatible with the rapidly changing world of technology.
Guest Tracker data that is converted into RezOvation Desktop will be more stable and better protected. RezOvation’s database structure guards sensitive credit card numbers and features a newer database format than Guest Tracker.
RezOvation Desktop allows for real-time credit card processing, provides visual reservation tools that save you time, special group reservation options, and much more.
RezOvation Desktop links seamlessly to our new RezOvation Booking Engine to offer even more choices and greater flexibility for guests who wish to book online from your website or the Global Distribution System (GDS).
What if I stick with Guest Tracker?
You may use Guest Tracker as long as it continues to function. GT support contracts will be honored until their expiration dates, but will not be extended.
If you have Guest Tracker 3.5 you will be given “unlock codes” through December 31, 2005. (You must be on Guest Tracker 3.5 to receive unlock codes in 2005.)
If you have an older version of Guest Tracker, you can buy an upgrade to GT 3.5 through December 31, 2004.
