Vacation Rental Managers Association is Getting Busy

vrma-logoThe Vacation Rental Managers Association (VRMA) has been a font of news that is good for the industry.  This week they released a new and improved website.

The new website is still at www.vrma.com but has a whole new design. Importantly  it is now managed with a great content management system that promises many features that will be useful to the membership.

I am excited to see the site develop over the next few months as the association ands its membership rolls up its sleeves and starts really using this great new too.  Congrats go out to Steve Trover, Dan Kline, Amber Leto and all the other great volunteers who put effort into getting the new site done, so well and so fast.

vrma-disvover-logoThe Vacation Rental Managers Association (VRMA) is also launching, today, a new awareness campaign for the traveling public: Discover Vacation Homes.  VRMA’s Discover Vacation Homes initiative will work to promote professionally managed vacation rentals as one of North America’s fastest-growing lodging categories through public relations – including earned publicity, social networking and emerging new media strategies.  Ypartnership is the PR firm directing this effort and we hope to see some great things!

They have two upcoming conferences planned. If you are a Vacation Rental Manager, make sure you check these out.  I will be attending both and speaking at both.  I am doing a presentation on “Measuring What Matters” (a new look about what to measure to track your online success) and “Page Rank: How link  popularity works”

The 18th Annual VRMA Eastern Seminar

Charlotte, North Carolina
The Blake Hotel

The 22nd Annual VRMA Western Seminar

I was so glad to see VRMA’s new site go live. It was past due, and this is an industry where you really can’t afford to fall behind in… especially on the web. I’m looking at hitting up a conference too. Keep your eyes open for me.

Thanks for letting me know about this site. It should prove very useful.
