Most clients, when they need a change made to their website, will open Microsoft Word and begin typing. After they are done proofing their content, they will attempt to dress it up by using a fancy font. After the document has been sent to Blizzard’s Design Department and the changes have been made, they might find that either the page contains their pretty text, or perhaps it does not. Most would think, “all that hard work, and for nothing?”
The truth is that a font may look great on your website, but if a visitor does not have that font installed, he or she will not be able to view it properly in a browser. In the internet world, there are only a select few types of “web-safe” fonts - those that all browsers display accurately. These fonts include: Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif, Times New Roman, Courier, Courier New, Comic Sans MS and Impact.
To get the most effective results from your website, stick with these web-safe fonts. Before sending changes to our Design Department, please make sure that the font that you wish to put on your website is a web-safe one.
