Hi Joe,
Yes, I do believe that forum participation is part of Web 2.0. Some things you need to remember when looking for or participating in a forum:

1. they probably wont let you advertise AT ALL - it's more than likely in their terms of service and they'll limit how and where you can add links to your forum posts.
2. It's more about being available on that forum than inviting others to your own forum.

Your New Orleans BLog does an excellent job of providing information about New Orleans - but there are a lot of other opportunities out there that you can take part in.
Participating in a forum about travel to a certain area is something that only a local can do - Blizzard can give you some suggestions on where to participate, but us actually setting you up to operate on a forum probably isn't the best (or most ethical) answer. Potential visitors to your area want to talk to YOU! Forum participation does take a time commitment though - and sometimes time is the hardest commodity to come by.

I hope this helps - keep up the good works in New Orleans!

Do you consider this forum process that you talk about to be part of the web 2.0 discussed in other articles in this month's newsletter?

How can someone with a blog (media room) set up by Blizzard take advantace of a Tripadvisor or Fodors forum, or would that be crossing over the line into advertising? Our media room for instance, does provide expert information to anyone wanting to know more about New Orleans and we obviously encourage non-guests to visit and ask us questions.
