Do you host meetings at your lodging business? You may want to read on. Benchmark Hospitality International recently compiled a list of “The Top 10 Trends for Meetings“. Benchmark Hospitality International manages 31 hotels across the U.S. and Asia.

Here’s what they identified as the top 10 trends:

    Up to date website with online booking that facilitates customizing one’s experience at the property

    Forbidding personal communications devices including cell phones and BlackBerries

    A spot for your guests to sound off about their experience

    A “work hard, play hard” experience to pack more punch into the whole corporate meeting event

    All-in-one price packaging

    Planner’s need for quick and easy availability and flexibility

    Insurance, pharmaceuticals, hi-tech and financial businesses are back and needing meeting space

    Culinary teambuilding is on the rise

    Meeting planners

    Booking meetings where the attendees can see a little history like the Alamo or Washington D.C.
