AAA reported that we can expect a very robust Thanksgiving Weekend for travel. Despite a rise in hotel room rates, rental car prices and airfares, there is an expected 2.7 percent increase in Americans who will travel 50 miles or more this Thanksgiving. That’s an estimated 38.3 million people who will be driving, flying and staying this holiday.

With gas prices at a current nationwide average of $2.23 a gallon, approximately 83 percent of these travelers are expected to hit the road. This is a gain of 2.6% from last year. Air travel is expected to be up by 3.2 percent.

Looks like the Holiday Season is off to a great start!
