So, you’ve booked your flight, hotel & rental car for your vacation. What do you have planned once you get there? If you travel anything like me, you at least want to have an idea of what you can choose from to keep the kids occupied and tired enough for naptime! Here’s a tip:
The folks at SideStep.com (a travel-industry vertical search engine) have added a great new feature to their offerings, “Activity Search.”
SideStep offers online comprehensive travel planning that pulls results from multiple travel sites, like Dollar.com, Orbitz.com, & Hyatt.com, and places them in one spot for you to choose the best offer. Now, with the “Activity Search”, you can choose from many activities and actually purchase tickets and admission online, along with your plane tickets and hotel rooms.
In all, you can choose activities from up to ten categories: Amusement and Theme Park, Cultural, Dining, Museums, Other, Outdoor and Adventure, Shows and Theater, Sports, Tours and Attractions, and Transportation. Choose the price range you are looking for and review the results. Detailed information on each activity is available, along with hours of operation and contact numbers.
Finding time for vacation planning can sometimes be a chore. Visiting multiple sites to plan flight, hotel, car & activities is becoming a thing of the past as more vertical search engines appear and features like this become more readily available.
If you offer an attraction important to your area, make sure you have a page about it on your travel and tourism website. This can increase the likelihood of SideStep.com picking it up.
