Sheraton to Test Yahoo-Sponsored Internet

Yahoo and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. have formed an alliance aimed at offering free, Yahoo-sponsored internet access in the lobbies of a select number of Starwood’s Sheraton Hotels. According to the Reuters news agency, lobbies in the test hotels have been reconfigured to offer work stations at round tables, sofas and other welcoming seating.

If the test markets prove successful, we may see more of this type of venture.
