Online Ad Spend to 9% of Total by 2011

A recent article from Jupiter Research indicates that the increase in Online Advertising is continuing to grow. Current online advertising spend is growing much faster than previously forecast, jumping 40% in 2005. Growth in 2006 is expected to be 21%.

Google VideoSeveral sectors of online advertising are expected to show extraordinary growth, including online video advertising, which is becoming more and more prevalent with the implementation of Google Video.

By the year 2011, annual spending on online advertising is expected to reach $25.9 billion, or almost nine percent of total U.S. advertising spend that year.
