Most Searchers Use Two Word Phrases. According to OneStat, the 7 most-used word phrases in search engines on the web are:

1.  2 word phrases 32.58%

2.  3 word phrase 25.61%

3.  1 word phrases 19.02%

4.  4 word phrases 12.83%

    These stats are right on in my experience. The 2 and 3 word phrases account for the most activity and are what should be targeted. 4 word phrases are better for most people than 1 word phrases. focus on those 2-3 word phrases when possible.
