Local Ranking Algorithm Survey Released

Twenty SEO’s were recently surveyed by David Mihm on the factors that make up the Local Search algorithms. In David’s words:

I invited 20 experts active in the Local Search Marketing community to participate in this study, with the goal of identifying the factors that would be most helpful for ranking well in the Google and Yahoo Local Search algorithms, as well as techniques to be avoided.

Anyone who has any notion of ranking in Google Maps or Yahoo Local should bookmark the collective findings of these Local Search experts, including Blizzard’s own SEO, Mary Bowling.
