Is Google Developing “Google Travel”?

Recently, a Google job posting appeared on the net looking for a “Senior Account Executive” specializing in “Travel Vertical” search. This has lead to rampant speculation that Google is beginning to build (or may have already built) a travel search engine, following the Yahoo! Travel lead. If this does happen, take note. Google usually leads they way in developing these types of applications; count on an eventual takeover of the travel search market, as Google doesn’t usually do anything half-way.

Like I said, this is just speculation at this point, but it is definitely something to keep an eye on. Stay tuned for more details!
