Conversion Rate Stats

PPC Traffic as Good or Better than Free Search Engine Traffic:

A significant portion of sponsored search conversion value occurs weeks after the initial referral.

The Click-though-Rate was over 4 times higher for a sponsored ad than a free ad (18.3% VS 4.3%)!

The Conversion Rate (clickers who actually purchase online) for PPC ads was more than twice the Conversion Rate for free search results (1.4% vs .6%).
