Q: Our website visitors download brochures, maps, and coupons. Can I track downloads?
Yes, indeed! Blizzard Tracker Professional Edition and ROI Edition both provide reports showing the number of downloads that occur for each file. You can view the results by page, by full URL, or by file name.
Additionally, if you have Blizzard Tracker ROI Edition, we can define the download as an “action” or conversion. This allows enhanced tracking to show more about the sources of visitors who are downloading files. Reports include conversions by referrer, by campaign, by search phrase, and by search engine.

Q: Our hotel staff and guests access our website frequently. I’m concerned that those visits are inflating our traffic reports. What can I do about that?
The newest versions of Blizzard Tracker Professional Edition and ROI Edition allow you to exclude your own visits from traffic reports. Simply go to Settings, then Report Preferences. If the computers you want to exclude have static IP addresses, you just need to enter those addresses.
However, many ISP’s do not provide static IP addresses. This means that when you log on to the Internet, your IP address is assigned dynamically; and you may get a different one for every session. In that case, you’ll want to set the tracker to recognize your browser. Simply check the box in the “Exclude Browser” area. You must have cookies enabled for this to work. If you want to exclude multiple computers with this method, you will need to perform this task from each system.
