The Internet Travel Monitor reported today on an up and coming guest amenity - the Pure Room. The concept behind this room is that it is completely allergen free for each guest. Hotels will go through extensive steps to clean and purify the rooms. There is a seven step process in which irritants including bacteria, pollen, dust and dust mites will be cleaned including the curtains, carpet and air-conditioning units. Antimicrobial agents that attack bacteria will be used to complete the job.

But even better for the consumer with allergies is the room that is free of feathers, drapes and carpeting. These items harbor allergens and really make it difficult for a guest to sleep. These types of rooms are being created by Environmental Technology Solutions who claims that their Enviro-Rooms will reduce airborne and surface particulates.

Both are long overdue concepts in the ever changing world of amenities. Read all about the hypoallergenic room at TripInfo.com.
