HITEC 2004 : Wireless Broadband We attended HITEC 2004 in Dallas in June and visited with many technology vendors in the hospitality industry, both big and small. We were surprised by the large quantity and variety of wireless providers represented at the show — companies that install, administer and support wireless networks for hotels, resorts, inns, etc. Obviously, there is a huge growth in the wireless broadband amenity, but it is still the tip of the iceberg due to the fact that the overall penetration is still quite low.
