I’d like to follow-up on my article from last week, Influence the Public with a Press Release, in which I mentioned issues affecting some of our clients in the travel industry in Hawaii, and how press releases can be a benefitial marketing strategy for your tourist destination.
After a rain drenched spring season, Pacific Business News reported that Hawaiian hotel occupancy is running at 77.4% for the last seven days ending last Sunday, April 30, up nearly 20 percentage points from one year ago. Occupancy on the individual islands is up also, with Oahu at 80.4 percent occupancy, Maui at 81.9 percent and Kauai at 69.5 percent.
