Happy Birthday, Trent Blizzard!

This coming Sunday, August 13, is the birthday of Blizzard’s CEO, Trent Blizzard and his twin sister, Amy.

To celebrate their birthdays, I made their favorite cake for the office to share. Here’s the recipe, from Trent & Amy’s mom, Sharon:

MOCHA CAKE

1 package white cake mix - no pudding - just plain old white cake mix
1 small instant chocolate pudding
4 eggs
1 cup oil
1/4 cup water
2/3 cup vodka
1/3 cup Kahlua

Bake in floured/greased bundt pan for 50-60 minutes at 350 degrees. Let it cool 5 minutes, then glaze with 1/4 cup Kahlua and 1/4 powdered sugar - mixed - sugar dissolved. Use a basting brush and brush it on all over - if you like, add a bit more kahlua to the powdered sugar - and even to the cake. Before serving, dust with lots of powdered sugar.
