This coming Sunday, August 13, is the birthday of Blizzard’s CEO, Trent Blizzard and his twin sister, Amy.

To celebrate their birthdays, I made their favorite cake for the office to share. Here’s the recipe, from Trent & Amy’s mom, Sharon:

MOCHA CAKE 

• 1 package white cake mix – no pudding – just plain old white cake mix
• 1 small instant chocolate pudding
• 4 eggs
• 1 cup oil
• 1/4 cup water
• 2/3 cup vodka
• 1/3 cup Kahlua

Bake in floured/greased bundt pan for 50-60 minutes at 350 degrees. Let it cool 5 minutes, then glaze with 1/4 cup Kahlua and 1/4 powdered sugar – mixed – sugar dissolved. Use a basting brush and brush it on all over – if you like, add a bit more kahlua to the powdered sugar – and even to the cake. Before serving, dust with lots of powdered sugar.
