What’s your favorite book? Why?
The best book I have read recently is the “The Historian” which is about a multi-generational search for vampires. It falls into that “historical adventure” category like “Rule of Four”, “Angels and Demons” and “Shadows of the Wind”
If you could share a meal or discussion with any historical figure, whom would it be and why?
I never met either of my grandfathers and would definitely choose to have a meal and a discussion with each of them.
If you could live anywhere on the planet, where would you live? Why?
Right here in Glenwood Springs. Susan and I could have lived anywhere back when we were working out of our garage, and chose this town. We have four perfect seasons, fabulous fly-fishing, skiing and camping.
What’s your greatest fear?
Viruses, Hackers, and Heights.
What’s the one bit of advice you’ve gotten in life that’s been of most value?
Find something you enjoy doing, and make a career out of it, because you will be good at it and it will be satisfying. Follow your heart.
What was your favorite subject in school? Why?
I loved chemistry and physics in high school – the use of math to explain the physical world was fascinating. In college and graduate school, political philosophy was definitely my favorite subject.
Are you a “morning person” or a “night owl”?
I hate the morning!
