Fast-Tracking AdWords Ads

A recent blog post from the Google AdWords Team outlined the approval process for ad changes and new ad submissions. Depending upon what kind of ad you run, the approval process can take some time. If you run a site-matching, image ad, or local business ad campaign, your ad will not show until Google has approved it. If you run text-only ads, you will probably see your ad immediately, but it is still subject to review and it may be taken offline if it doesn’t meet AdWords quality guidelines.
To facilitate ad approval, the Inside AdWords Team recommends submitting new or edited ads early to mid-week. Ads are reviewed on a limited basis over the weekend, and submissions on Fridays, Saturdays, & Sundays will take longer to be approved. Approval also depends upon the volume of ads being edited and created. Getting ads approved at heavy volume holiday periods, such as Thanksgiving or Christmas, can take much longer.
A small amount of planning can facilitate a smooth transition into new ads and focus your pay-per-click campaigns.
