Employee Spotlight – James Sweeney

My story starts in Orlando, Florida, where I was born in 1980 and lived until I was eight years old. I was in second grade when we moved to Glenwood Springs, Colorado, and, other than college, I’ve been here ever since. I attended college at Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO, where I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, with a Minor in Math. Currently, I am in a transition here at Blizzard, as I will be migrating into doing some programming here in the Promotion Department. It will be an exciting chance to put my Computer Science degree to work. I will be working on creating programs for the Promotion department and I will also be working on implementing new promotion strategies.
Other than my work at Blizzard, during the summers I raft guide on the Shoshone section of the Colorado River here in Glenwood. I also like to bike, hike, kayak and backpack. During the winter months, I can be found up at the mountain on my snowboard or “geeking-out” on some video games at home.
