Donald Trump’s foray into online travel marketing, Go Trump, is slumping. Failing to follow basic SEO guidelines has left this travel and tourism website languishing in the doldrums. Try searching in Google for some obvious terms, like “go trump” and “donald trump travel”. My search experience revealed that his site is being talked about on many other travel and hospitality websites, but it’s almost impossible to find a listing for the website itself in the SERPs. Fortunately, his marketing folks are at least bidding on the website name in Google AdWords.
I also performed some forensic research on GoTrump at Alexa, Whois, and within Google itself, which gave me more clues that he could really use some help.
