SEO is defined as the process in which a website is put together to obtain optimal results in organic search engine rankings. Methodologies include design techniques, content building, navigational organization, and more, with the ultimate goal being to perform well in search engine rankings and to increase the flow of qualified traffic to the site. Higher placement in search engine rankings and increased traffic often lead to higher revenue for website owners.

The rankings are calculated on a monthly basis; February marked the second month in a row that Blizzard was awarded the 27th spot.

The SEO distinction was granted to Blizzard shortly after their recognition by Colorado Biz Magazine as a top family owned company in Colorado. The criteria for companies to be considered for their award include the following:

  • Must be owned by a single family
  • Family members must be active in management
  • Family members must be involved in the company for two generations or likely to be involved for the next 2 generations.

The company began by providing website design, hosting, and promotion services, and has since grown to offer comprehensive online marketing solutions for its clients. Blizzard also offers services that include tracking software and e-mail marketing applications. The company has over 1,500 national and international clients, with a customer base consisting mainly of independently owned hotels, motels, vacation rentals, resorts, country inns, and bed and breakfasts.
