There are so many benefits to adding a blog to your website including increased content and online exposure, higher traffic, brand recognition, and building an online community.

With the emergence of Web 2.0, online communities are the new consumption. With a blog you have the opportunity to become a local expert and resource to your area. Create an online community and discuss topics such as restaurants, activities, and other businesses in your neighborhood. Encourage readers to participate by leaving comments to local reviews and develop an interactive format.

A blog enhances your online social reputation with greater community involvement while building the size of your website with organic content. Provide the visitor to your website with information that they may search for elsewhere. Take advantage and introduce your product to new customers by appearing in online searches for a variety of keyword phrases. Create value and trust with an online community!

In order to be successful with a blog, you must have a commitment to keep information flowing day in and day out. Every community will interact differently, so you will need to adjust accordingly. Add honest and quality content to build a relationship with your visitor. This will encourage them to return, come back often, and ultimately become your customer.

Utilize blog search engines such as Blogdigger, Feedster, and Technorati to research what is being blogged about in your community. Technorati provides current information on both popular searches and tags used to categorize blog postings.

Blizzard Internet Marketing offers a variety of plans to add a blog to your website and/or help you maintain and add content to your blog.
