Anyone using a website for marketing should know that the process of search engine optimization (SEO) and ranking has undergone several fundamental changes over the past year. SEO is now more about analyzing information, and incorporating strategic planning and long-term consultation. The changing nature of optimization services has caused many SEO firms, including Blizzard Internet Marketing, Inc., to make radical alterations to their office environments and staff skill-sets.

Most of our readers know that the search engine environment has expanded enormously over the past two years. Along with traditional search engines such as Google, MSN, or Yahoo, we now find a variety of more specific search marketing venues to consider. This growth is matched by the increasing sophistication of Internet users. The practice of SEO today requires a much deeper knowledge base, and more person-hours per client.

Jim Hedger, a search engine marketing expert, advises, “Perhaps the greatest and most logical changes for established SEO firms are found in the increase in SEO consultancy services and the growing tendency to separate site design/re-design from the SEO service process. Both are byproducts of the growing complexity of the marketplace.” Blizzard has maintained these two facets separately for years; our Design and Promotion Departments are indeed separate, but work together in our clients’ best interest.

Website design has matured into a creative science. For SEOs, however, the importance of search engine-friendly design, combined with the complexity of many commercial websites, has made search-ready site design a specialized skill set that, when done properly, takes many hours of hands on creativity.

Blizzard Internet Marketing, Inc is an established search marketing firm that serves a range of commercial clients in the hospitality industry. Our work is fun, enlightening, at times stressful, and growing more complex by the day. We strive to maintain a learning environment that fosters adaptation to the ever changing process of optimization. We keep an SEO expert on staff whose sole purpose is to keep the rest of our staff trained in the newest technologies. We meet weekly for training, and more often if the need arises. Blizzard is also committed to sending a representative to the most technical trade shows and conferences in the search engine industry.

Our clients can take comfort and pride in knowing that they’ve chosen to work with Blizzard Internet Marketing, Inc. in this dynamic realm.
