Blizzard Internet Marketing in Top 50 Family Owned Colorado Companies

Blizzard Internet Marketing, Inc., of Glenwood Springs, was recently ranked 38th in the list of the Top 50 Family-Owned Companies in Colorado for 2006, according to Colorado Biz magazine. It is the company’s first year on the list.
Ranking is based upon the number of employees. In order to qualify for the list, a company must be owned by a single family, with family members active in management. Additionally, according to Colorado Biz, family members must have been "involved in the company for at least two generations, or seem likely to be."
Blizzard Internet Marketing, Inc. was started by Trent and Susan Blizzard in 1997, at which time they and one part-time employee, Trent’s sister, Amy, accounted for the entire staff. The company has matured along with the internet. Blizzard is now considered to be the leading provider of internet marketing services - website design, hosting, and promotion - to the hospitality industry, with more than 2,000 satisfied clients and a staff of 65.

This is a nice reward and we are proud… our family-owned status is important to Susan and I. My twin sister, Amy, still works for us (I wish more often) in-between her opera singing gigs and speech therapy.
We also are proud of having a family-friendly environment, where kids (and sometimes dogs) are are seen frequently, good health insurance is provided universally, and a family-friendly work schedule accommodates our employees.
