Blizzard Employee Spotlight on….Liz Hamilton
Carrie Hill | 19 March 2008 |
Your Title with Blizzard: Design Project Manager
How long have you worked for Blizzard? Nearly one year as an employee and 2 as a contractor prior to that.
Are there any stories about your interview or first weeks here that you’d like to share?
The first time I met Trent and Susan was while I was working with BedandBreakfast.com. Often we would meet up at trade shows & conferences across the country, in way out places in the off seasons; Alaska in September, Louisiana in July, Minnesota in January. Trade shows are a great place to not only mingle with clients but other vendors. I remember clearly a time when we were at a show in one of the southern states, on a canal boat or dinner boat and Trent was accessing the internet through an AOL dial up and uploading site changes for a client while the attendees were in a seminar. He has grown this business from the ground up and I really have a lot of respect for both he and Susan.
What are your goals for 2008?
Live with my new husband more and hike more of the Colorado Trail. A trail that is 500 miles from Denver to Durango. I have completed around 150 so far but hope to make another 100 miles this year, I might make it to Durango to see Danielle in 2010.
What aspect of your job keeps you coming to work every day?
The people I work and all the challenges that each day brings. No two days are ever the same.
If you could meet 1 person in the world (present, past or future) who would it be and why?
The Dali Lama, I think it would be amazing to spend time with him and sit and chat, I could do probably listen and talk to him for weeks.
