Benefits of a Live Bookmark

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to our RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Have you ever wondered if your favorite vacation spot has any spur of the moment specials? Wouldn’t it be nice to know before you take the time to open up their web site only to find that they haven’t updated it? If the site has a blog with a link to its RSS feed, then behold the power of the live bookmark. Mozilla Firefox has a feature to where you can add a live bookmark. A live bookmark is basically an RSS feed reader; it will read the RSS file and display the latest updates under your browser bookmarks.

Live Bookmark

To setup a live bookmark in Firefox, go to Bookmarks > Manage Bookmarks, File > New Live Bookmark and enter the name of the site and the address of the RSS feed. You can see in the image above that Blizzard’s blog feed is located at: http://newsletter.blizzardinternet.com/feed/.
